Kicks Of The Day: Nike Air Max 95 “Pollen Rise” Features Removable Velcro Accents

BEAVERTON, OREGON — Nike Sportswear Korea is getting ready to celebrate the spring season by releasing its highly anticipated Air Max 95 “Pollen Rise.” Drawing its color palette from Seoul’s famed forsythia flowers, this special Max also comes equipped with interchangeable patches that can be placed anywhere on the full velcro upper.

Thanks to its human anatomy-inspired design and white Velcro build, the layered upper panels on the Air Max 95 “Pollen Rise” provide a perfect blank canvas for its customizable embellishments. These range from a gigantic forsythia-equipped Swoosh to medium and small Swooshes plus oval-shaped Nike Air Max badges. Each of these patches is dressed in season-appropriate blues, oranges, yellows or greens, and is rimmed with black trim.

Powerful black piping plays a major part on the upper’s build as well, separating each individual piece by accenting the design lines and also providing a cartoon-style aesthetic. Although almost everything on the upper is dressed in white or black, the top two midfoot panels are split between orange and yellow for extra vibrance. White EVA foam midsoles encase blue forefoot and green heel Air Max units to complete the whimsical look.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Pollen Rise” will release exclusively on Nike SNKRS Korea March 21, and is priced at ₩209,000 KRW (approximately $172 USD).
