Sneaker Drop: Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Gundam”

THE NIKE ZOOM VOMERO 5 “GUNDAM” ARE EXPECTED TO RELEASE DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

Last June, during the brand’s Q4 2023 earnings call, Nike‘s CEO John Donahoe confirmed that sneakerheads should expect plenty of Vomero 5 colorways to drop. The next drop will be a racing-inspired colorway, featuring vibrant shades of red and blue with metallic panels.

Dubbed “Gundam,” the base layers are styled with mesh in University Red, metallic panels with reflective details, as well as liner and outsole elements in vibrant Photo Blue — complemented by logos of the same color at the heel. The silhouette features a pre-distressed mid-sold and glossy black Swoosh logo.

This shoe is not officially affiliated with the Gundam cartoon character.

The Zoom Vomero 5 have been around for over 12 years, but has just recently begun to garner significant attention and recognition, with 2022 and 2023 representing major progress and a large variety of inline releases for the silhouette.
