PARIS — Last April, D.M. Fashion Book reported that luxury French house Saint Laurent will not show at Paris Fashion Week and set its own pace for showing collections for the duration of the year, as the brand pivots to adapt to the coronavirus crisis (see it here).

The luxury label plans to unveil its spring 2021 men’s collection with an online presentation on Sept. 9, the brand revealed in a teaser today Wednesday (Sept. 2).

The short film shows puffs of fuchsia pink and blue smoke trailing over salt flats, though the location is unclear. Another set of visuals shows flags printed with pastel dégradé colors planted on a beach. The Kering-owned brand is also advertising the event with physical billboards in Los Angeles.

The video is the prelude to a gradual physical and digital rollout of the men’s collection, as part of a project curated by creative director Anthony Vaccarello, a spokeswoman for Saint Laurent said.

In recent years, Saint Laurent has skipped Paris Fashion Week Men’s, instead staging annual itinerant shows in New York City and Malibu.
