EXCLUSIVE: Harlem Couturier Dapper Dan To Cover Business Of Fashion Magazine

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES — Harlem couturier, designer and tailor Daniel Day also known as Dapper Dan just revealed at Harlem’s Fashion Row’s Style Awards in Manhattan that “the major prize to me is next month . . . You’ll see me on the cover of Business of Fashion, and I’m talking about diversity and inclusivity and [being] a part of Gucci.”

The Harlem atelier turned Gucci designer added, “To lead the charge — I am very happy about that, and what that’s going to do for young people coming behind me . . . Those other brands are going to have to open them doors.”

So now that he’s made a name for himself globally, what’s his favorite fashion capital?

“Excuse me . . . Harlem is the best place for fashion — not only in New York but around the world . . . Everybody wants to be like Harlem — now take that.”
