MILAN — Italian luxury fashion house Giorgio Armnai opened up a new boutique in Florence.
The new location is on the luxury shopping street Via de’ Tornabuoni 83r, directly opposite the Renaissance building Palazzo Strozzi, the store spans 2,700 square feet on a single floor. The store was previously located on the same street at number 48/r.
“Florence has managed to maintain all of its charm and splendor completely unaltered, and it is truly a crossroads for tourists from all over the world,” said Armani. “I wanted to create a boutique that reflected my aesthetic values, with an atmosphere that is both elegant and warm at the same time.” The designer emphasized the succession of colors in the rooms, and a space dedicated to the brand’s beauty line.
The concept for the boutique, conceived by Armani with his team of architects, respects the original architecture of the palazzo in which it is located. The bright space is divided into a series of rooms connected by doorways featuring elegant platinum-colored finishings. Each room is customized, with different floors, color-coordinated with the silk panels on the walls and the curtains.
The furniture and display units are in platinum-colored metal and resin with a curved shape and rounded corners. The seating, lights, wall coverings and rugs are part of the Armani/Casa collection. The designer’s home line marks its 18th anniversary this year.
The store will be inaugurated on June 14 with an event during Pitti Uomo with the private members’ night out of the Armani/Privé nightclub from Milan.
