He is a fashion icon. A fashion icon is a influential person who introduces new styles which spread throughout fashion culture and become part of fashion. They initiate a new style which others may follow. A fashion icon will have some versatility to their style while keeping that same undercurrent throughout everything they wear.

As he continues his solo journey, the music artist is working on a new album, and dropping his new single, “Fan” on Sept. 15.

Last winter, Denim Tears‘ founder Tremaine Emory was tapped by Dior Menswear’s artistic director Kim Jones to guest design a capsule collection (see it here), in October 2021, he partnered with Champion for an apparel collection honoring the late dancer and activist Alvin Ailey. Emory also inked a two-year partnership deal with previous collaborator Levi’s in 2o21. He did collaborations with Ugg and Converse as well.

Tremaine was appointed creative director of Supreme, but stepped down after two seasons, alleging “systematic racism” at the company (see it here).
