NBA PLAYER JOSHUA CHRISTOPHER IS FEATURED IN THE LATEST ISSUE OF THE LOS ANGELES-BASED FASHION AND CULTURE MAGAZINE.

CALIFORNIA, USA — Houston Rockets Shooting Guard Joshua Christopher was photographed by Tayo Kuku and styled by Mui-Hai Chu for Flaunt.

When it comes to style and creating trends, NBA players are at the forefront. Today, the NBA looks like the 80s designer logo era, 90s mink coats era, the 2010s Hip-Hop wide-brimmed hats, dark sunglasses era, oversized suits, and minimalist jewelry adorned by Michael Jordan in the 90s, and the braids, tattoos, and baggy sweats worn by Allen Iverson in the early 2000s. The relationship between style and basketball has evolved over the last decade and a half, with players becoming fashion models and style icons. They’re snatching fashion endorsements back-to-back and are also sitting front row at fashion shows around the world.

As Flaunt wrote, “A symbiosis has long existed: culture influences the style of the players and the style of the players influences the culture at largeBut what happens when basketball style becomes the culture?”

If we’re keeping it real, it is fair to say that Josh is the culture. In the 2020s, he helped change the face of high school, college basketball, and the NBA with his rolled-up short shorts and fresh-off-the-runway ensembles.

For this editorial, Josh styled in Ferragamo, Zana Bayne, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Fendi, Nike, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and more.
