Band Of Outsiders 2015 Ready-To-Wear.

UNITED STATES — In 2014, DM Fashion Book (known as donbleek.com back then) reported that Band of Outsiders cancelled their show at New York Fashion Week (see it here). The brand also ceased all operations.

In 2016, we announced that the Los Angeles – based fashion brand would make its return in time for spring 2017 — without its founder Scott Sternberg, who had cut all ties with the label (see it here).

In May 2018, our online publication confirmed that English model and actor Kelly Pullon is the face of Band of Outsiders Fall/Winter 2018 Menswear Campaign (see it here).

Band of Outsiders recently announced in a press release that it would be relaunching a womenswear component. The brand, which was founded in 2004 says it’s creating the new collection to appeal to the many female followers who have stuck with the brand through the years.

People always say they miss the women’s wear aspect and we do have a large women’s following on social media. They were already very interested in the men’s pieces and we had buyers asking for smaller sizes to fit this demand,” current brand director Daniel Hettmann  said to WWD.

The new women’s collection will be limited in scope with just eight looks, according to a press release from the brand, and will debut during London Fashion Week Men’s in January 2019. Inspired by the space-age aesthetics of the late ’60s, the collection will feature dresses and skirts in addition to pieces that look more like the menswear collection, but in women’s sizing and fits.

I am very excited to extend our universe of humor and inclusivity to women,” creative director Angela Van Mol said in a release.
