Actress Lala Anthony To Recur On Fox Drama ‘Star’

UNITED STATES — Actress Lala Anthony, who is repped by UTA, Untitled Entertainment and Rosenfeld, Meyer & Susman has just nabbed a recurring role on Fox’s music-fueled drama series Star. She will play Paola, the estranged mother of Angel (guest star Evan Ross) who also has a connection to Jahil (Benjamin Bratt).

Rapper Quavo, of the group Migos, will play a version of himself in an episode.

Co-created by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghy, Star follows three talented singers – running from their pasts and desperate for a new start – with ambitions of stardom, as they navigate the cutthroat music business.
