In the beginning of this year, DM Fashion Book reported that Proenza Schouler’s were leaving New York Fashion Week for Paris (see it here).

In the latest news, the brand’s founders and designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez recently announced that they will  launch a secondary line, dubbed a “sister” collection to its existing offering.

The fresh collection known as “White Label,” was first reported by WWD, and will reportedly comprise of the more casual pieces — such as denim, tee-shirts, and basics — that have been part of the main line for a while, but will now be separated out and highlighted in an effort to boost the business with more accessible, affordable options.

The move follows the recent appointment of Elizabeth Giardina to the design team — from Derek Lam 10 Crosby where she had been vice president of design for five years — and chief executive officer, Judd Crane, who joined the c-suite at Proenza Schouler from Selfridges last year.

Proenza Schouler is also preparing for the global launch of their first fragrance with L’Oréal Luxe in 2018. The fragrance launch along with the move to Paris is part of the label’s plan to grow its international presence.
