In the fashion world, some people know that Stefano Gabbana is controversial and he recently caused a lot of controversy in his latest Instagram post.
The Dolce & Gabbana co-designer reposted side-by-side images of Chanel‘s Ionic-column heels from Wednesday’s Chanel’s ‘La Modernité de l’Antiquité’ and a similar Dolce & Gabbana shoe from 2014. The photo was originally posted by the Instagram account @whodiditfirst, which traffics in these kinds of side-by-side comparisons. “It’s just a repost,” Gabbana wrote.
Currently, there is no official statement from either party. However, it’s clearly noticeable that both brands were inspired by ancient Greece – endorsing heels shaped like Ionic columns. What are your thoughts?
