Virgil Abloh Archive™ And Jordan Brand Unveil Air Jordan 1 High OG x V.A.A.

The legacy of Virgil Abloh continues to shape sneaker culture in a major way. The Jordan Brand has officially teamed up with the Virgil Abloh Archive™ (V.A.A.) to introduce the Air Jordan 1 High OG x V.A.A.—a release that taps directly into the late designer’s expansive creative universe.
Marking the first global product pulled from Abloh’s archive of over 20,000 objects, the drop builds on the groundbreaking partnership between Nike and Abloh that began back in 2017. This latest iteration stays true to his design ethos of “making the hidden visible,” pushing the boundaries of what a classic silhouette can be.
The Air Jordan 1 arrives with an open, deconstructed build, highlighted by Abloh’s signature exposed tongue and the unmistakable orange tab stitched onto the Swoosh. Staying consistent with his industrial design language, bold black “AIR” lettering is stamped across the midsole, drawing attention to the sneaker’s internal cushioning system—one of Abloh’s longtime fascinations.
To celebrate the launch, the Virgil Abloh Archive™ is rolling out its V.A.A.™ World’s Fair activations across key global cities tied to Abloh’s life and influence, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The first stop lands in Los Angeles at Architecture, where the sneaker will be available exclusively through an EQL raffle for attendees and local residents.
In a move that further cements Abloh’s commitment to uplifting the next generation, the first 100 subscribers to the Archive’s newly launched Toolkit program for emerging creatives will receive a pair of the collaboration.
The Air Jordan 1 High OG x V.A.A. is set to release April 3, 2026 via Nike and select retailers.
