Texas Longhorns Five-Star QB Commit Dia Bell Signs with Nike Football
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida — American Heritage standout and five-star Texas Longhorns quarterback commit Dia Bell is expanding his growing brand, officially signing a deal with Nike Football.
Bell becomes the latest high school football star to partner with the sportswear giant, joining fellow five-star athletes Mark Bowman, a USC-bound tight end from Mater Dei (Calif.), and Jett Washington, a safety from Bishop Gorman (Nev.).
Earlier this year, Bell and Washington took part in Nike’s “Next Ones†showcase during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans, where 32 of the nation’s top high school players competed in front of scouts and media.
Set to join the Longhorns next season, Bell’s commitment continues head coach Steve Sarkisian’s trend of attracting elite quarterback talent. Ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the country, Bell announced his Nike partnership on X, writing:
“ Beyond blessed and thankful for the opportunity to partner with an incredible brand like Nike Football.â€
Even before stepping onto a college field, Bell has made a name for himself as one of high school football’s most exciting young talents. He earned MVP honors at the Elite 11 quarterback camp, was named Florida Gatorade Player of the Year in 2024, and is listed as the second-highest-rated quarterback in the 2026 class, per 247Sports.
Bell’s senior year came to an abrupt pause following a minor medical procedure that sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Despite the setback, the rising star expressed confidence and gratitude in a message to his teammates and fans:
“ As many of you already know, I will not be playing for the rest of the 2025 season due to an unexpected, minor procedure that needs to be addressed,†Bell shared on Instagram. “I am heartbroken and disappointed that I won’t be able to win another state championship with you all. I know that you guys will take care of business.â€
With his talent, leadership, and new partnership with Nike, Dia Bell is positioning himself as one of college football’s most promising future stars.
