Nike GT Future “Varsity Red” Set for Fall 2026 Release
Nike Basketball continues to expand its Greater Than (GT) lineup with the upcoming Nike GT Future “Varsity Red,” a bold new colorway that puts the model’s futuristic design front and center.
Inspired by the iconic Foamposite silhouette, the GT Future features a sculpted one-piece molded upper with dramatic ridges and flowing lines. The “Varsity Red” edition dresses nearly the entire shell in a glossy metallic red finish, highlighting the sneaker’s eye-catching shape. Black accents on the tongue, collar, inner lining, outsole, and Swoosh branding provide a sharp contrast, creating a clean and balanced look.
Unlike some of the more experimental GT Future releases featuring gradients or graphic treatments, this version keeps things simple. The vibrant red finish allows the innovative construction and sculpted design to take center stage without unnecessary distractions.
The GT Future is one of several new additions to Nike Basketball’s expanding Greater Than series, joining upcoming models such as the GT Uptempo, GT Force, and GT Flight as the performance basketball collection continues to evolve.
The Nike GT Future “Varsity Red” is scheduled to release in Fall 2026 via Nike.com and select Nike Basketball retailers. The sneaker will be available in men’s sizing with a retail price of $210 USD.
