MAC Cosmetics Is (Finally) Coming to Sephora
After more than four decades of defining beauty culture, MAC Cosmetics is making a long-awaited move — the iconic makeup brand will finally launch at Sephora in the United States in early 2026.
Yes, you read that right. The 41-year-old label, known for its backstage credibility and cult-favorite lipsticks, has never been sold at Sephora—until now. The Estée Lauder Companies confirmed that MAC will soon hit shelves across U.S. Sephora stores, including Sephora at Kohl’s, marking a major expansion for the global beauty powerhouse.
The news follows a pivotal period of reinvention for the brand. After years of declining sales, MAC has been doubling down on creative renewal and strategic collaborations to reassert its place in the modern beauty landscape. Recent moves include the appointment of Nicola Formichetti as Global Creative Director in May 2024 and the debut of global superstar Doja Cat as its new brand ambassador last September.
While this marks MAC’s debut at U.S. Sephora locations, the brand is no stranger to the retailer internationally — it already enjoys shelf space in Sephora stores across Canada and the UK. In the U.S., MAC first partnered with Ulta Beauty in 2017, but its absence from Sephora has long been a point of curiosity among beauty insiders.
