Ami Colé’s Diarrha N’Diaye Will Lead Kim Kardashian’s Skims Beauty
Diarrha N’Diaye, the visionary founder behind the inclusive makeup brand Ami Colé, has been named executive vice president of beauty and fragrance at Skims, effective November 3, 2025. In her new role, she will oversee product development and brand strategy for the fast-growing label, which continues to expand beyond its shapewear roots.
N’Diaye’s appointment marks a major move for Skims as it ventures deeper into the beauty category. A beauty industry veteran, she previously held positions at Glossier and L’Oréal before launching Ami Colé in 2021 — a brand celebrated for bringing the no-makeup-makeup aesthetic to deeper skin tones and all races. Earlier this year, she announced plans to wind down Ami Colé, paving the way for this next chapter.
“I want Skims Beauty to be a place where everyone feels represented, and there is no better person to help us do that than Diarrha,” said Kim Kardashian, Skims’ cofounder and chief creative officer, in a statement. “She has an incomparable talent at marrying the emotional and tactical sides of beauty. Her instincts and experience in innovation and authenticity will power our brand.”
N’Diaye echoed the sentiment, describing her mission as creating “makeup classics and excitement about beauty rituals while simplifying the experience and focusing on skin from strand to toe.” She added, “My job is to figure out how we create this second-skin experience for the customer and bridge the gap between clothing, makeup, hair, and fragrance.”
Earlier this year, Skims acquired Skkn by Kim — Kardashian’s previous beauty venture — from Coty Inc., a move that solidified its ambitions in the beauty space.
“Diarrha’s modern and community-forward view on beauty aligns perfectly with the ambitions of Skims Beauty,” said Jens Grede, cofounder and CEO of Skims. “Her entrepreneurial background and ability to identify customers’ untapped beauty needs will be instrumental in driving our business forward.”
Valued at $4 billion during its 2023 funding round, Skims has rapidly evolved into a powerhouse lifestyle brand. In the past two years alone, it expanded into menswear, opened brick-and-mortar locations, and made waves with viral product launches such as the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap and the Faux Hair Micro String Thong, which sold out in under 24 hours.
With N’Diaye at the helm of its beauty division, Skims is poised to redefine what modern beauty looks — and feels — like.
