ASICS SportStyle x Completedworks Reimagine the GEL-KAYANO 20 as Wearable Sculpture

ASICS SportStyle has officially joined forces with London-based jewelry label Completedworks for a debut collaboration that transforms performance footwear into art. Released under the “Crafts for Mind” initiative, the project reinterprets the archival GEL-KAYANO 20 through a sculptural, high-fashion lens — dissolving the line between athletic engineering and ornamental design.
Handcrafted in Completedworks’ London studio, the limited-edition pairs apply the brand’s signature poetic minimalism to the technical runner. Offered in classic black and white colorways, each silhouette is adorned with mismatched gemstones, pearlescent bows, and delicate floral accents. The result is an intentional tension: utilitarian sport structure softened by romantic, almost fragile embellishment. Founder and Artistic Director Anna Jewsbury frames the collaboration as an exploration of “femininity and a certain sense of ornateness” within the practical landscape of everyday footwear.
Beyond its aesthetic statement, the partnership carries a philanthropic dimension. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Yorkshire Sculpture Park Community Programme, funding artist-led initiatives that support mental wellbeing. Given the handcrafted detailing, the brand emphasizes that each pair should be treated as a collectible art object, advising wearers to exercise care to prevent damage or color transfer.
The ASICS x Completedworks GEL-KAYANO 20 is available now via Completedworks for $300 USD. Following its London Fashion Week debut, the collaboration will arrive at Dover Street Market London, with additional releases slated for Dover Street Market Paris and Dover Street Market Ginza this March.
