A$AP Rocky Unveils His Debut Ray-Ban Metals Collection Starring Nas

A year into his tenure as Ray-Ban’s first-ever Creative Director, A$AP Rocky steps fully into his vision with the launch of the Ray-Ban Metals Collection — a sleek, nostalgia-soaked edit that pays homage to ‘90s eyewear codes while pushing them into the future.
To mark the occasion, Rocky tapped rap icon Nas for a cinematic short film that frames the collection through a lens of legacy and lineage. The campaign feels intentional and intergenerational — a meeting of style architects who helped define New York cool across decades.
At the core of the drop: slim, wire-framed and rimless silhouettes that channel the understated confidence of ‘90s minimalism. Soft oval curves and narrow rectangular lenses nod to vintage references, while polished gold finishes elevate each frame with a quiet, luxurious sheen. Instead of the oversized acetate styles dominating recent seasons, Rocky strips things back — favoring leaner profiles, metallic detailing, and a more refined attitude.
For those leaning into ultra-minimal territory, the rimless designs — available in both round and rectangular shapes — allow the gold hardware to subtly command attention. Meanwhile, an “unapologetically futuristic” wraparound model injects a sharp, forward-facing energy into the lineup. The limited-edition silhouette offers a streamlined visor-like form, blending Y2K sport influences with high-fashion precision.
Each style arrives in both optical and sun iterations, with classic brown and black lens options available across the collection.
The launch follows Rocky’s headline-making AWGE presentation during New York Fashion Week and the debut of his jewelry line, PAVE NITEO — pieces he notably wore to the Chanel couture show earlier this year. With the Metals Collection, Rocky continues to refine his design language: nostalgic yet progressive, pared-back yet powerful.
The A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban Metals Collection is now available via Ray-Ban’s official webstore and select retail locations worldwide.
