Rakai x Under Armour Arc 96 “25XX” Marks A New Era Of Streamer-Led Sneakers

At just 17 years old, Twitch star Rakai is already breaking barriers—this time stepping into sneaker culture with his first-ever signature shoe in partnership with Under Armour.
Dubbed the Arc 96 “25XX,” the sneaker was designed live on stream, giving fans an unfiltered, behind-the-scenes look at the entire creative process. The moment doubled as both content and collaboration, setting a new precedent for how brands can engage with younger audiences in real time.
The “25XX” features a sleek black upper layered with futuristic design cues, drawing inspiration from jet ski aesthetics. Neon green accents cut through the dark base, delivering a bold, high-contrast look that mirrors Rakai’s tech-forward, edgy style.
This release also marks Rakai’s first signature sneaker following his multi-year deal with Under Armour—a deal he reportedly chose over offers from competitors like Nike specifically because it included the opportunity to create his own shoe. It’s a rare move, especially for someone outside of professional sports, signaling a shift in how influence and cultural impact are valued in the sneaker space.
The collaboration will also be accompanied by a “Full Access” video series, documenting Rakai’s journey with the brand and offering deeper insight into the making of the project.
By bringing the design process directly to his audience, Rakai and Under Armour have tapped into something more authentic than the traditional celebrity rollout. As Yurri Mial, Creative Director of Footwear and Sportswear at Under Armour, explained, the goal was to meet Rakai in his world—leveraging live engagement to connect with a demographic the brand hasn’t historically captured.
The Rakai x Under Armour Arc 96 “25XX” is expected to release alongside a full apparel collection, marking the first drop from the partnership since he signed in 2025.
