Tremaine Emory Unveils Denim Tears’ Debut Bag Line for SS26
Following the recent launch of its first in-house denim collection, Denim Tears is expanding its creative universe with the introduction of its inaugural bag collection for Spring/Summer 2026. Designed by founder Tremaine Emory, the new offering blends elevated craftsmanship, functional design, and the cultural storytelling that has become synonymous with the brand.
For Emory, Denim Tears has always been about building a world rather than simply producing clothing. The designer describes the label as a home that continues to evolve with every new category. While denim and leather goods were always part of the long-term vision, Emory has intentionally taken his time, allowing the brand to grow organically and authentically.
The SS26 bag collection carries forward Denim Tears’ signature Cotton Wreath motif, bringing one of the brand’s most recognizable symbols into the accessories space. Intricate embroidery appears throughout the collection, reinforcing the visual identity that has defined Denim Tears across apparel, headwear, and now bags.
Constructed from durable 15-ounce cotton canvas and premium soft-grain leather, the collection balances utility with luxury craftsmanship. The leather styles feature a versatile silhouette with a side-button closure that transforms the bag from a spacious tote into a more structured shape. Available in both Large and Small sizes, each bag is equipped with a removable crossbody strap for added functionality.
Priced between $390 and $590 USD, the leather offerings provide a luxury-level design and finish while remaining more accessible than many traditional fashion houses.
The campaign was photographed by longtime Denim Tears collaborator Gabriel Moses and stars Adit Ajhok Deng and Crystall Mess. Through moody imagery featuring the brand’s American Wreath flag and spiritual references, the visuals further explore the themes of heritage, identity, and diaspora that have become central to Denim Tears’ narrative.
