Skims Promotes Tracy Nguyen to Chief Communications Officer

Skims has promoted Tracy Nguyen to the newly created role of Chief Communications Officer, further strengthening the brand’s leadership team as it continues its rapid global expansion.
In her new position, Nguyen will continue overseeing global communications while expanding her responsibilities to include entertainment, sports, and brand partnerships. She will also remain co-general manager of NikeSkims, the joint venture between Skims and Nike that launched in 2025.
Nguyen joined Skims in 2024 as Executive Vice President of Communications and Entertainment and has played a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s communications strategy and cultural influence. She was instrumental in bringing the highly anticipated Skims x Nike partnership to life, helping position the brand at the center of fashion, sports, and entertainment.
As Chief Communications Officer, Nguyen will lead Skims’ global communications efforts while overseeing celebrity, athlete, and entertainment partnerships, along with brand collaborations and cultural activations designed to further elevate the company’s global presence.
“From her time as a trusted adviser across the entire brand portfolio—when Skims was just an idea—to joining Skims in a formal executive capacity, Tracy has been an incredible partner and leader,” said Kim Kardashian, Skims cofounder and Chief Creative Officer. “She understands the brand at its core—how to protect it, grow it, and put it in front of the right audiences at the right moments. This promotion reflects the trust that Jens and I have in her strategic and creative vision.”
Skims cofounder and CEO Jens Grede echoed those sentiments, praising Nguyen’s leadership and calling the expanded role “the natural next step” as the company continues to grow across fashion, entertainment, and sports.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Kim and Jens for their trust and partnership,” Nguyen said. “Skims has already redefined what’s possible, and I’m excited to continue building alongside our talented team as we enter the next chapter.”
Before joining Skims, Nguyen served as Chief Brand Officer for KKW Brands, where she worked closely with Kardashian across multiple ventures. She also co-founded Industry Public Relations, leading the agency for more than a decade, and previously held leadership positions at People’s Revolution, 5W Public Relations, and Sunshine Sachs.
Founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, Skims has evolved from a shapewear startup into one of fashion’s fastest-growing brands. The company has expanded into loungewear, underwear, menswear, and high-profile collaborations, with its continued investment in communications and partnerships signaling an even bigger global presence ahead.
