Nike Air Max Goadome “Black Pony Hair” Returns October 29

Nike is revisiting one of its more unconventional takes on the Air Max Goadome, bringing back the “Black Pony Hair” colorway on October 29. The release offers another opportunity to get the textured boot, which replaces the silhouette’s traditional leather construction with a full pony hair upper while retaining its rugged, outdoor-inspired design.
The defining feature is the black pony hair covering nearly the entire upper, extending across the toe box, mudguard, side panels, tongue and ankle collar. The longer strands around the panel edges and seams create a shaggy, tactile finish that gives the boot a more elevated, fashion-forward appearance. The all-black palette keeps the look cohesive, allowing the distinctive material to take center stage.

Branding remains understated throughout the design. Black rope laces complement the monochromatic upper, while small white Nike Swooshes embroidered near the heel and on the tongue introduce subtle contrast. Inside, a gold Nike logo on the insole provides an additional detail that remains hidden when the boots are worn.
Underfoot, the Air Max Goadome retains its familiar construction, featuring a chunky black midsole with visible Air cushioning and molded ACG branding. The rugged rubber outsole features deep traction lugs designed to provide grip, along with additional ACG branding across the bottom. With the silhouette’s original proportions and functional elements intact, the pony hair finish serves as the defining update.
