Louis Vuitton to Present Cruise 2027 Collection in New York City

Louis Vuitton is bringing its Cruise 2027 runway show to New York City, with the French luxury house set to unveil the collection on May 20 at The Frick Collection. The presentation will mark the first time the museum’s historic galleries are used for a fashion show, while also launching a new three-year partnership between the two institutions.
Under the direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s cruise shows have become known for blending fashion with globally recognized architectural landmarks and cultural institutions. For Cruise 2027, the designer selected The Frick Collection as the backdrop for a presentation rooted in art, history, and craftsmanship.
“Surrounded by masterpieces spanning from the Renaissance onward, we enter into conversation with a place where art, history and beauty have long been preserved and celebrated,” Ghesquière said in a statement. He also described the partnership as a reflection of Louis Vuitton’s continued commitment to engaging with cultural spaces that inspire creativity and artistic expression.
Beginning in June, Louis Vuitton will sponsor the museum’s free public evenings held on the first Friday of every month through May 2027. The brand will also serve as lead sponsor for the next three major exhibitions hosted by The Frick Collection, beginning with “Siena, the Art of Bronze: 1450 to 1500,” opening this October. Additional exhibitions will spotlight French enameler Suzanne de Court and a forthcoming showcase centered on 19th-century paintings.
The partnership further extends into the museum’s curatorial department, where a Louis Vuitton-funded Curatorial Research Associate position will support research initiatives over the next two years. The role will be held by Yifu Liu, whose work explores artistic exchange between Europe and China during the 18th century.
Originally the Gilded Age residence of industrialist and collector Henry Clay Frick, The Frick Collection has been open to the public since 1935. The museum recently completed a major multiyear renovation, adding a renewed sense of prestige to a venue already celebrated for its historic art holdings and cultural significance.
