Lamine Yamal Fronts the New SP5DER x adidas F50 Formotion Campaign

Barcelona phenom Lamine Yamal takes center stage as the face of the latest collaboration between adidas Originals and Young Thug’s SP5DER, introducing the bold new F50 Formotion sneaker alongside a football-inspired apparel collection that seamlessly merges sport, streetwear and luxury design.

Timed to football’s biggest global stage, the collection reimagines adidas’ performance heritage through SP5DER’s rebellious aesthetic. Leading the campaign, Yamal embodies the next generation of football style, showcasing a head-to-toe lineup that blurs the lines between the pitch and the streets.

At the heart of the release is the adidas x SP5DER F50 Formotion, a brand-new silhouette that fuses two of adidas’ most recognizable innovations. The sneaker combines the brand’s archival Formotion running sole with an upper inspired by the legendary Adizero F50 III football boot, transforming a performance icon into a contemporary lifestyle runner.

The design features a silver zig-zag mesh upper with premium leather overlays, vibrant pink detailing, a lenticular tongue badge, SP5DER branding on the heel and a custom metal hangtag, delivering a futuristic take on retro football footwear.

The footwear is complemented by an equally statement-making apparel and accessories lineup. A football jersey featuring a glossy vinyl SP5DER logo across the chest and signature web graphics on the back is paired with matching shorts, while a rhinestone-covered track jacket and track pants elevate classic sportswear with unmistakable SP5DER flair. Rounding out the collection are custom goalkeeper gloves and a rhinestone-striped cap that further reinforce the collaboration’s football-first identity.

The adidas Originals x SP5DER collection first launched exclusively through SP5DER on June 26 before receiving a wider release via adidas CONFIRMED and select retailers on July 1.

While adidas and SP5DER previously teamed up on the Supermodified Superstar earlier this year, the F50 Formotion marks the partnership’s most ambitious project to date. By drawing inspiration from one of football’s most iconic boots and infusing it with SP5DER’s unmistakable design language, the collaboration delivers a fresh vision for the future of football-inspired streetwear—with Lamine Yamal leading the charge.
