Virginia Tech Hokies cornerback Jaquez White is bringing an effortless streetwear aesthetic to the basketball arena. The college senior recently stepped out in Charlotte, North Carolina, showcasing a laid-back ensemble that combined independent streetwear, oversized denim, and avant-garde footwear for a Charlotte Hornets game at the Spectrum Center.

At the center of White’s look was a faded brown graphic T-shirt from Resilient Hustle Clothing, featuring the word “Resilient” across the top and bold “Hustle” graphics. The vintage-inspired design brought a distinctive streetwear aesthetic to the outfit while delivering a message of perseverance and ambition.

White paired the graphic tee with wide-leg distressed blue jeans, featuring a loose, exaggerated fit, distressed detailing around the knees, and subtle vintage-wash accents. The denim’s oversized silhouette complemented the relaxed styling of the outfit, creating a balance between casual streetwear and high-fashion influences.

For footwear, the Virginia Tech defensive back stepped out in Rick Owens DRKSHDW panelled lace-up sneakers, adding an avant-garde touch to the ensemble. He completed the look with an Up 7 Skate / 7 Dweller Intl Street Team hat, bringing another element of skate-inspired streetwear into the mix.

White’s Charlotte appearance is another example of the growing intersection of college athletics and fashion, as athletes continue to use their personal style to express themselves beyond their respective sports.
