A new collaboration between Denim Tears and adidas could be on the way this winter.

According to a report from Sneaker News, one of streetwear’s most recognizable labels is preparing to join forces with adidas Originals for the first time. The reported partnership is expected to debut during the Winter 2026 season, with at least two footwear releases currently slated for November.

Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears is reportedly set to reinterpret two iconic adidas silhouettes: the Superstar and Stan Smith. While specific design details remain under wraps, the collaboration could offer Emory another opportunity to bring Denim Tears’ distinctive visual language and cultural storytelling to a classic sneaker canvas.

Exact release dates, pricing, colorways, and additional design details have yet to be revealed. There is also a possibility that more footwear could be included in the broader collaboration.

Founded by Tremaine Emory in 2019, Denim Tears has established itself as one of the most influential labels in contemporary streetwear. The brand is particularly known for exploring Black American history and the African Diaspora, using fashion to examine stories, symbols, and imagery connected to the Black experience.

Among the label’s most recognizable signatures is its Cotton Wreath motif, which reinterprets historically significant imagery through a contemporary streetwear lens. Denim Tears’ work has been featured by cultural institutions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and the SCAD Museum of Art, while the brand has collaborated with names such as Levi’s, Stüssy, Our Legacy, and Corteiz.

Emory has also maintained a significant influence across fashion, music, art, and street culture. Before establishing Denim Tears, he co-founded the creative collective No Vacancy Inn and later became Supreme’s first creative director, a position he held for approximately a year and a half.

Denim Tears is no stranger to footwear collaborations. The label previously partnered with Converse on the Chuck 70, drawing inspiration from Marcus Garvey and Pan-African colors. Emory also participated in the ASICS Collective, a creative initiative assembled by Awake NY founder Angelo Baque, which resulted in a two-part Denim Tears-connected ASICS GEL-MC Plus collaboration in 2021.

Now, the reported adidas partnership could introduce Denim Tears’ aesthetic to two of the brand’s most recognizable lifestyle silhouettes.

For now, both the Superstar and Stan Smith are reportedly expected to release in November 2026, potentially marking the beginning of Denim Tears’ relationship with adidas Originals.
