Denim Tears has officially unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection in partnership with the André Leon Talley Estate, marking the first authorized apparel collaboration from the late fashion editor’s estate.

Comprising 153 pieces, the collection celebrates Talley’s enduring influence on fashion, particularly his ability to bridge European couture with Black fashion culture throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. His distinctive approach to dressing—equal parts luxurious, sporty, comfortable, and unmistakably Black—serves as the foundation for the seasonal offering.

The collection incorporates licensed NAACP marks across a selection of customized T-shirts, while introducing new iterations of Stüssy Tears and Billionaire Boys Club pieces, along with a collaboration with Los Angeles-based artist Spacebrat.

Outerwear plays a major role throughout the collection, with offerings ranging from PrimaLoft-filled down puffers and vests to workwear jackets, leather pieces, and reversible varsity jackets. Denim Tears’ signature Cotton Wreath motif is also reimagined through Paisley, Monogram, Peace Wreath, and Single Wreath embroidery, appearing across a variety of new seasonal colorways.

The accompanying lookbook further reflects Talley’s influence by featuring multidisciplinary designers André Walker and Edward Buchanan alongside journalist Ashantéa Austin. Together, the imagery highlights the intersection of diaspora dressing, Black-owned brands, and traditional fashion that Talley championed throughout his career.

Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory described the collection as an exploration of a defining period in Talley’s personal style and cultural influence.

The Fall/Winter is an exploration of a specific part of André Leon Talley’s style that had social implications within and beyond fashion.”

Emory also pointed to Talley’s willingness to champion Black designers and brands at a time when few figures within the fashion establishment were doing so. From Phat Farm and Billionaire Boys Club to Dapper Dan, Talley frequently appeared front row at shows and wore the work of Black designers, helping bring greater visibility to their contributions to fashion.

The Denim Tears x André Leon Talley Estate Fall/Winter 2026 collection will arrive through five separate drops throughout the season.

Drop 1 launches Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. EST through Denim Tears and in-store at Africa Diaspora Goods, located at 176 Spring Street in New York City.

The collection serves as more than a tribute to Talley’s iconic wardrobe—it celebrates his broader cultural impact and his lifelong commitment to elevating Black creativity within the global fashion industry.
