Style innovator A$AP Rocky has officially been named Chanel’s newest global ambassador, further solidifying his ongoing creative connection with artistic director Matthieu Blazy. The two have a long-standing rapport—Rocky was a front-row regular and a campaign standout during Blazy’s tenure at Bottega Veneta.

Since breaking onto the music scene in 2011 with his hit debut single “Peso,” the Harlem native has become a defining force in modern fashion. His influence continues to expand: in October, the 37-year-old was honored as CFDA’s 2025 Fashion Icon, cementing his status as one of the industry’s most compelling style leaders.

In a statement celebrating the appointment, Blazy praised Rocky’s artistry and character, saying, “Rocky is an incredible artist who puts his heart and soul into every project he’s involved in, in addition to being an incredible human being.”

He continued, “Musician, actor, father, friend… he brings so much to the table and always delivers with kindness. We are thrilled to welcome him to Chanel, and I’m thrilled to work together again.”

To mark the announcement, Chanel released a special short film directed by Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind filmmaker Michel Gondry, featuring Rocky alongside The Substance star Margaret Qualley.
