Alton Mason Fronts GapStudio’s Fall 2026 Campaign

Alton Mason returns to Gap for Fall 2026, this time as one of the faces of GapStudio, the brand’s elevated fashion imprint led by Zac Posen. The model and six-time Model of the Year winner stars alongside Esther McGregor in the label’s latest campaign, photographed by Daniel Jackson.
Mason’s relationship with Gap dates back to the brand’s “Wear Light” campaign, making his return a continuation of a relationship that now enters a more fashion-driven chapter through GapStudio.
For Fall 2026, Posen continues to reshape Gap’s familiar design codes through a more architectural approach. The 20-piece collection revisits the foundations of American dressing—denim, khaki, shirting, T-shirts, utility clothing and workwear—reworking them through sculptural silhouettes, controlled volume and unexpected shifts in proportion.
“With the Fall GapStudio collection, we continued to evolve Gap’s design language by looking at some of the most familiar pieces in the American wardrobe through a more architectural lens,” says Zac Posen, Executive Vice President and Creative Director of Gap Inc. “There’s a play between utility and sensuality, precision and ease, and the familiar and unexpected. It’s about evolution rather than nostalgia.”
That tension is reflected throughout the collection. Cropped jackets and hoodies are paired with oversized shirts and elongated trousers, while relaxed tailoring meets more structured utility pieces. Exaggerated collars, engineered seamwork, precise topstitching and trompe l’oeil treatments further emphasize the collection’s focus on construction and form.
The palette remains focused, moving through deep indigo, washed black, military khaki, optic white and vibrant blues. Denim and utility pieces anchor the offering, including the Asymmetric Icon Denim Jacket, Double Pocket Denim Jacket and Loose Utility Jeans, alongside fitted and oversized poplin shirting, structured hoodies and relaxed trousers.
Captured against a stripped-back setting, Jackson’s campaign imagery keeps the attention on silhouette, attitude and the physicality of the garments. Fashion and image direction comes from Alastair McKimm, with Posen overseeing creative direction.
Fall 2026 also extends GapStudio’s connection to contemporary culture. A two-piece denim look in the collection evolves from a custom GapStudio design worn by musician Leon Thomas during his performance of “MUTT” at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Reinterpreted for the new season through denim tailoring and deconstructed uniform references, the look reflects GapStudio’s approach to transforming individual fashion moments into pieces designed for everyday wear.
The Fall 2026 GapStudio collection will be available through Gap’s online store and select locations. Womenswear will launch in 20 stores globally, while menswear will be available at Gap’s Flatiron, Chestnut and The Grove locations in the United States.
