Marquee Brands to Acquire Majority Stake in Roberto Cavalli

Marquee Brands is expanding its luxury portfolio with a major new acquisition. The company announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in Roberto Cavalli through a strategic partnership with DAMAC Group.
Financial details surrounding the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close during the second quarter of 2026, with DAMAC remaining a significant shareholder in the Italian fashion house following the acquisition.
Founded in Florence in 1970, Roberto Cavalli built its reputation on bold glamour, exotic prints and signature Italian craftsmanship. The addition of the luxury label strengthens Marquee Brands’ growing global portfolio, which already includes names such as Martha Stewart, Laura Ashley, Sur La Table, BCBGMAXAZRIA and Stance. With Roberto Cavalli joining the roster, Marquee Brands says its portfolio now represents approximately $5 billion in annual retail sales.
“Roberto Cavalli stands as one of luxury’s defining Italian houses, with a bold creative identity and enduring brand ethos,” said Heath Golden. “We see extraordinary potential to build on that foundation through thoughtful brand stewardship and strategic expansion.”
DAMAC founder Hussain Sajwani said the company spent years strengthening the brand before seeking a strategic partner capable of accelerating its next phase of growth. He added that DAMAC plans to continue expanding Roberto Cavalli-branded residences and hospitality projects across key global destinations.
The partnership is expected to significantly expand Roberto Cavalli’s international footprint, with plans to introduce new categories, services and luxury experiences throughout Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
As part of the transaction, The Level Group has been named Marquee Brands’ core operating partner. The company will oversee the development, manufacturing and distribution of Roberto Cavalli’s menswear and womenswear collections, while also managing retail, wholesale and e-commerce operations across Europe and the United States.
The acquisition marks Roberto Cavalli as the twenty-second brand added to the Marquee Brands portfolio, further positioning the company as a major player in the luxury and lifestyle space.
