Dior has officially set the stage for its Cruise 2027 show, marking a major moment as Jonathan Anderson prepares to debut his first collection for the house. The show is scheduled for May 13 in Los Angeles, bringing high fashion to one of the city’s most culturally significant landmarks.

The collection will be unveiled at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), set against the striking backdrop of its newly developed wing designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. Known as the David Geffen Galleries, the highly anticipated space will officially open on April 19 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a two-week preview period for members before welcoming the public in early May. The project also marks Zumthor’s first architectural work in the United States.

Dior’s choice of venue reflects a broader industry focus, as European luxury houses continue to invest heavily in the American market amid global economic uncertainty. Both Gucci and Louis Vuitton are set to present their Cruise 2027 collections in New York City later that same week, further underscoring the U.S. as a key driver of luxury growth. Gucci’s ties to LACMA run deep, having sponsored the museum’s annual gala since 2011.

The upcoming show also builds on Dior’s expanding footprint in Los Angeles, following the opening of its Rodeo Drive flagship designed by acclaimed architect Peter Marino.

Dior’s relationship with Hollywood remains as strong as ever. The house continues to dress some of the industry’s most influential names, including brand ambassadors Jennifer Lawrence and Mikey Madison, both of whom have worn Dior during major award season moments. Michelle Yeoh also famously chose the brand for her Oscar-winning appearance, reinforcing Dior’s enduring presence on and off the red carpet.
