3-Star Linebacker Nyair Graham Covers The February 2022 Issue Of D.M. Fashion Book

High school standout Nyair Graham has officially trimmed his list of college suitors to a top three: Syracuse, Temple and Penn State (in no particular order).

After decommitting from Maryland, Graham is taking a closer look at Syracuse — though it’s important to note, he has not confirmed any commitment to The Orange.

Standing 6’1″ and 200 pounds, Graham is ranked as the No. 31 linebacker nationally and the top linebacker in New Jersey for the Class of 2022, according to the 247Sports Composite.

On-Field Dominance

One word describes Nyair’s game: aggressive.

His speed and ability to diagnose plays often make it appear as if he’s blitzing every down — but in reality, he’s reading his keys with impressive discipline and exploding to the ball. Graham plays with controlled aggression, never losing sight of his responsibilities within the defense.

Last season, he recorded 82 tackles in just seven games, along with five sacks. In a marquee matchup against Woodrow Winslow, he delivered 16 tackles and two forced fumbles, earning Defensive Player of the Game honors against Wilson on November 25, 2021.

Despite injuries in 2020 — including a fractured back, sprained shoulder and sprained ankle — he still totaled 40 tackles, two sacks and an interception in a shortened four-game season.

Style Meets Sports

Off the field, Nyair’s presence is just as strong.
In a recent editorial lensed by Najauh Howard, the athlete-model showcased streetwear and luxury looks, styled by D.M. Fashion Book’s Head of Editorial Content Donovan Moore.

The shoot featured pieces from MNML.LA, The North Face, H&M, Timberland, and Chanel, along with a physique-revealing moment in classic Tommy Hilfiger underwear.

The February editorial was intentionally cast to honor Black History Month, highlighting a talented young Black athlete making waves in both sports and fashion.

“I wanted to spotlight an athlete and model of color for our February issue. I want to help more Black people succeed in the fashion industry,” said Donovan.

Black History Month has been celebrated in the United States since 1976, expanding its influence across Canada and the UK.

A Fashion Icon in the Making

Athletes continue to shape fashion culture, and Nyair is no exception. In Camden — located on the south side of New Jersey — he’s widely considered one of the best-dressed students in his class. His favorite luxury house? Dior.

Nyair’s interest in fashion started at age 11, when he first began studying streetwear and exploring luxury brands. He caught our attention at D.M. Fashion Book after a standout Burberry look he wore for his 16th birthday went viral on Facebook.

With his natural style, athletic excellence, and growing editorial presence, our exclusive shoot with Nyair is poised to help catapult this rising star even further into the spotlight — both on the field and in fashion.
